Music is the Key

This is where you’ll find each of the “Merch Wall” videos, whether or not we’ve heard from the band, and then the sleeve progress. I’d said back when I got that 988 on my wrist that it was supposed to support a movement. Adding the megaphone logo and then thinking that filling the surrounding spaces with the bands who support the movement? Well, that just made a perfectly crazy and fully logical kind of sense.

Bands who have said YES to supporting SpeakUpForJulian!

Having started the “Merch Wall” videos and tagging bands, I had the most oddly serendipitous night on 4/12/2025 when seeing Nothing More, Daughtry, and Disturbed. I’d already gotten a meet & greet with Nothing More, and this wasn’t the first one. I again gave them guitar picks (more than last time) and thanked Mark specifically for the heartfelt dual dedication to Fade in/Fade out at HoB Myrtle Beach in September 2024. After that, it was a great show and I’d had another opportunity to get a bag of guitar picks back stage. Well, one of them made it into David Draiman’s hand, and that prompted them to ask me to come up on stage and SpeakUpForJulian. I had nothing in mind; like, nothing. But, I was able to coherently speak about our tragic loss in a way that reached more people than ever so far in this journey. After coming down from the stage, and shaking so many hands and taking pictures and handing out guitar picks, who’s the next person to grab my hand? Chris Daughtry! In the pit! Marytree will always have top billing here for James’s friendship. Click on each of the logos which are or will soon be part of my Speak Up For Julian tattoo sleeve, if you’d like to listen to a song of theirs which resonates with this movement.

Bands and Artists who aren’t on the sleeve yet…

These pictures are for bands who’ve not yet responded one way or the other. Since I don’t have direct links to any of them, yet, this could take a while. If there’s a link in the picture, it’ll take you to the short (or not so short) video where I’ve tagged them and asked if they’ll support. If there’s no video, I haven’t made one yet but they’re on Julian’s Merch Wall and it’s just a matter of time to try and do them justice instead of grouping them all together.
